sustaining second language reading ability through frequency
KERAP is Malay for frequency, so frequency of practice is main credo of the coaching practice. It is imperative that students who have thoroughly undergone the earlier English reading and writing practice sets continue with the coaching plan to sustain and enforce second language acquisition. KERAP is the English for science and technology module, which we introduce here to demonstrate how kids take to quality books, which books then spur them on.
We have tried the above Barron's Maths and Science as reading modules and have discovered kids were fascinated with them. They now have the language thus the need to feed them exciting stuff!
In other words, rewiring the brain is a continuous process..........
